This is an art piece made of guitar strings. These strings once made musical art, and now they're making visual art. After the strings were taken off of a guitar, they've been cut, bent, and shaped into a tree. The small multi-colored beads are the ends of the string, where it attaches to the body of the guitar. The canvas is birch plywood, and the strings have been set in place by epoxy.
"Growing Our Tree" is a series of 16 trees. This is the first piece in the series. The tree symbolizes the growing of our family. My wife and I are adopting, and this series is a fundraiser to help with the giant cost of adoption. This is the first in the series, and it's larger than the other 15 trees.
Dimensions are 11.75"x9.5"0.5"
