This is an art piece made from guitar strings. I played these strings at the 2013 Smoky Hill River Festival in Salina, Kansas. I took them off and shaped them into a picture of a guitar. I used the beads that attach the strings to make little knobs. Then, I sewed the image onto a suede matboard.
 
For this piece, I made a custom frame made out of pine with walnut splines.
